New flea market in Wausau

There is a new flea market in Wausau. Wausau Pickers opened up in December. Since then, business has picked up quite a bit, owner Kevin Huchthausen said.

"People are here reliving their memories, childhood past, something their grandma used," said Huchthausen.

The more than 50 vendors at the flea market sell a combination of antiques, collectibles, memorabilia, and crafts.

"Wear comfortable shoes, comfortable clothes. Be ready to spend maybe an hour or two," Huchthausen said. "The vendors have hand picked items that you probably will like."

He says to keep an open mind while shopping, because sometimes a flea market item can be turned into something new.

Wausau Pickers is open every Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is at 801 Genrich St. in Wausau.

In the summer, Huchthausen has plans to have an outside section of the flea market.
