Walker has meeting scheduled with Cameron in London
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is scheduled to have a private meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Downing Street confirmed the meeting would take place on Tuesday. Walker is leading a coalition of Wisconsin government and business officials on a trade mission that runs until Friday.
The trip gives Walker a chance to bolster his overseas and foreign policy credentials as he considers running for president in 2016. He is scheduled to give a public speech Wednesday about the global economy at the prestigious Chatham House think tank.
Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie also met with Cameron last week during his visit to London.
This visit to London is Walker's third overseas trade-related trip since he became governor in 2011. He's also been to China and Japan.
