STEPHENVILLE, Texas (AP) -- The defense has rested in the trial of a former Marine charged in the shooting deaths of the Navy SEAL portrayed in "American Sniper."
Eddie Ray Routh did not testify during his capital murder trial in the deaths of Chris Kyle and friend Chad Littlefield.
After defense attorneys completed their case Thursday afternoon, prosecutors indicated they would call rebuttal witnesses Friday.
Jurors on Thursday heard from a forensic psychiatrist who said Routh showed symptoms of psychosis in the weeks leading up to the slayings.
Routh would face an automatic sentence of life without parole if convicted, since prosecutors are not seeking the death penalty.
The tears of Keaton Jones made waves online.
