Dodgers edge Brewers in spring training battle

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Brandon McCarthy pitched two innings in his Los Angeles Dodgers debut, a 4-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday.

McCarthy gave up a run and two hits while striking out two. The slim right-hander signed a $48 million, four-year contract with the Dodgers on Dec. 16 after spending last season with the Arizona Diamondbacks and New York Yankees.

Carlos Gomez hit an RBI double off McCarthy in the first inning to score Gerardo Parra, who singled.

Dodgers outfielder Kyle Jensen, a non-roster invitee, hit a two-run homer in the eighth. Highly regarded prospect Corey Seager knocked in the winning run with a double to deep center in the bottom of the ninth.

Matt Clark homered for Milwaukee in the ninth to tie it. Hunter Morris had an RBI single in the fifth.
