KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) -- The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department has isolated a jail inmate who tested positive for tuberculosis.
Sheriff's officials say the inmate is being held on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainment and is currently in a medical isolation room. The Kenosha County Division of Health will work with the sheriff's department to test other inmates and jail personnel.
TB is spread through the air from one person to another. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says TB disease can be fatal if not treated properly.
