Filmmaker drawing attention to 2011 Cosby rape comments
LOS ANGELES (AP) -
A documentary filmmaker is drawing attention to comments Bill Cosby made in 2011 to her describing rape as "annoying" and saying victims' only hope for freedom is through the court system.
The comedian, who has been accused by more than two dozen women of sexual misconduct, made the comments while discussing a project about bullying with filmmaker Cassidy McMillan.
McMillan provided audio of the hour-long interview to The National Enquirer and its partner, RadarOnline, which posted a three minute clip of Cosby's comments on Monday.
Many of the accusations by women who accuse Cosby of drugging and raping them are barred by criminal and civil statutes of limitations and he has not been charged. Four women have sued the comedian for defamation after he denied their claims.
