Packers wrap up minicamp

Thursday was more of a laid back day for the Packers at their practice facility in Ashwaubenon. Coaches allowed many veteran players, like Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews, to take the last day of minicamp off.

The ones who were left were quick to get out the door this afternoon. They'll get six full weeks off before reporting to training camp in late July.

"This long, extended press conference is really cutting into my family time right now, but yeah, I need it," Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said.

The Packers have a total of 40 days off to be exact and the players are going to make sure they spend their time wisely. The gap between minicamp and training camp gives NFL players free time they don't otherwise have and off the field problems are a concern around the league.

"We look out for one another and we hold each other to a high standard and hold each other accountable. Guys are going to do what they have to do and understand that this is a job and we're all here to accomplish one goal," Packers safety Morgan Burnett said.
