Walker tells donors he's still praying over presidential run

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker is telling donors that he's still praying over whether to run for president in 2016, but he believes he is "uniquely qualified to lead this country."

Walker, in a fundraising email sent Friday, asks supporters if he should run for president. He's been traveling the country, raising money and building the infrastructure for an almost certain run for months.

Walker says in the email, "I have been praying about this decision for a long time." He said back in November he would only run after praying and feeling called to do it.

Walker, in a not-so-veiled swipe at fellow Republican Jeb Bush and Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton, says in Friday's email that he "didn't inherit fame or fortune and I don't think being President is by birthright."
