PLAINVILLE, Mass. (AP) -- The pilot of a small plane that crashed into a Massachusetts home, killing all three people on board, calmly tells an air traffic controller he has no engine power and is gliding in the minutes before impact.

Audio of the exchange between the pilot and air traffic controller before the crash Sunday evening is posted on the website liveatc.net.

The plane flying from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to Norwood struck the roof of a home in Plainville and burst into flames. Four people in the home, including two children, escaped unharmed.

At one point, the air traffic controller tells the pilot to look for a highway to land on, suggesting Interstate 495.

Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration arrived on scene Monday.
