(CNN) -- The US Women's National Soccer team continues to celebrate the World Cup triumph, but they won't be taking home the ultra-big bucks from soccer's governing body.

Team USA won $2 million from FIFA for winning this year's Women's World Cup.

By comparison, Germany's men's team took home $35 million for their World Cup triumph last year.

The US men, which finished 11th in 2014, won $9 million and the 16 men's teams eliminated in the first round of last year's tournament each got $8 million.

The US women's prize is actually double what Japan got for winning the 2011 World Cup and prior to 2007, women's teams received no prize money at all for winning the tournament.
