MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Republican Gov. Scott Walker plans to sign the state budget on Sunday, just a day before he's expected to announce a presidential bid.
Walker's office said Friday that the governor will sign the $73 billion two-year spending plan at a business in Waukesha late Sunday afternoon.
Walker has said he wanted to finish work on the state budget before announcing a run for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. He plans to officially announce his candidacy on Monday evening in Waukesha.
