Hodag ends and cleanup begins

The hoedown at Hodag is over, and for country music fans, it's time to go home. But for the unsung heroes of the music festival, the work has just begun.

Several workers were busy pumping and cleaning portable toilets on Monday.

“It's probably the dirtiest job at Hodag," Northwoods Portable Toilets employee Robbie Bukowsky said.

While Bukowsky might claim the dirtiest job at the Hodag cleanup, the trash pickers appeared to have the fastest-moving.

"We hope to be done by five o'clock today,” Butch Perrot of B&B Containers said while still picking up garbage.

Perrot said that last year they cleaned over 60 tons of garbage from the festival grounds, adding that this year they were on track to cart away even more.
