JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) -- The National Weather Service confirms a tornado caused damage to farm buildings in southern Wisconsin.

The weather service says an EF-1 tornado packing winds of up to 100 mph tore a five-mile path from eastern Rock County into Walworth County on Saturday afternoon.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the tornado touched down from 2:40 to 2:50 p.m. in an area between Janesville and Elkhorn. The tornado was about 50 yards wide.

A barn was damaged in the Avalon-Johnstown area in Rock County, and a machine shed just north of Darien in Walworth County was flattened.

No injuries were reported.
