Escapee suspected in home invasion, high speed chase
BLACK RIVER FALLS (AP) -- A 20-year-old who escaped from a correctional camp in west-central Wisconsin is now accused in a home invasion and a high-speed chase.
WCCO-TV reports the Jackson County Sheriff's Office received a report Aug. 2 that Kaeden T.J. Dumholt escaped from the Black River Correctional Center in Jackson County.
Four days later, law enforcement suspected he was part of a Sawyer County home invasion where two male suspects confronted a homeowner at gunpoint. They then left and the homeowner was uninjured.
Soon after, authorities were involved with a high-speed pursuit of the suspect vehicle -- stolen from Jackson County -- but the driver and only occupant stopped and ran. Officials were unable to find him.
Sawyer County Sheriff Mark Kelsey says Dumholt should be considered armed and dangerous.
