Police say armed robbers are pre-teens

BELOIT, Wis. (AP) -- Beloit police say two suspects who held up a video store are 12 years old.

Authorities tell the Beloit Daily News the pre-teens were armed with a semiautomatic handgun when they entered the Family Video store Sunday night and demanded money.

Officers arrested one boy around noon on Monday. Sgt. Ed Gates says the second boy was arrested a short time later. He's accused of spitting on an arrested police officer.

Both 12-year-olds are being held in the Rock County juvenile detention center.
