Stoughton teen takes senior photo shoot at Culver's

STOUGHTON (WKOW) -- Most senior photo shoots are good, but not what you'd call 'finger-licking' good.

Most recently, a Missouri girl's Taco Bell fast-food senior-shoot went viral, and now a Stoughton senior says snapping pictures at Culver's was an 'unforgettable experience.'

"I got the idea six months ago and told my mom I wanted to have the  photo-shoot at Culver's," Rocky France said.

The teen's grown up at Culver's.  From kids meals to now deluxe combos, he's always had a soft spot for the Wisconsin staple.

"It's totally him though," Rocky's mom, Kristy Lynn France, said about the shoot.  "Seeing him in this place, he loves this place."

But mom wasn't always so thrilled about Rocky dipping a blue spoon into a cup of vanilla custard, while portrait photographer Kimberly Wethal snapped away.

Mom insisted photos be shot also at a neutral location.

As it turns out, Rocky's entire family really enjoyed what Wethal created.

"He didn't even make it look like he was a slob or anything, basically was what you would see on an advertisement," Wethal said while combing through the hundreds of photos she shot.

Wethal is seeing a shift in what seniors want.

In fact, not too long ago, another senior chose Ian's Pizza on State Street for their memorable moment.

"In the last couple of years, we've been getting more towards a place where you care about and a place that's gonna make you a legend."

Rocky's already a legend, with more than 250 Twitter 'retweets' of one snap where he's munching on a Culver's butter-burger.

Rocky says getting out of the comfort zone and into the Culver's zone was something he'll remember forever.

"The way people looked at you, it was a great experience."
