MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police are looking for a suspect who authorities say crashed a downtown house party and stole several items including a laptop Friday night.According to police, the burglar was posing as a friend of a roommate at the home on the 200 block of N. Livingston Street.Once the man was inside he was acting like a normal party-goer, dancing in the living room with other people. He then walked into one of the bedrooms.Madison police say that is when other people at the party realized they didn't know who he was. The hosts went to confront him and realized he had already left. It was discovered that the thief made off with a laptop, a bottle of whiskey, cologne and other items. However, the thief left behind a piece of beef jerky sitting on the victim's pillow.The thief is described as a black male, 26-28 years old, thin build, black pants and a black sweatshirt.
