White-hot: Myles White pushes for roster spot

Myles White caught the attention of everyone in Lambeau with his two touchdown receptions and forty-six yards against the Saints. That performance came just five days after he grabbed nine balls for 89 yards last week against Philadelphia. White taking care of his job the past two weeks might have made the jobs of Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy a little bit harder.

'I like our receivers,” McCarthy said. “We are going to have some tough decisions to make.

“I thought particularly the young guys stepped up tonight and made plays. Myles white, he has put two back to back games together.”

Those consecutive stand-out games have bolstered White's confidence in comparison to years past.

“Production wise, I had a very productive preseason,” White said. “I feel a lot better going into it but you never can know and never know what's going on upstairs.”

In his third-year in Packers camp, White knows the uncertainty in the days following preseason game four forces him to keep occupied.

“This is probably the worst part of the year,” White said. “You never know what's going on upstairs.

“(You) just try to find something to do to relax and pass the time until you find out what's going to happen next.”

Another young wide-out who has some waiting to do, former Badger Jared Abbrederis, who came back against the saints after sitting out with a concussion injury for a month.

He returned three punts for 35 yards, prompting Mike McCarthy to say he was a natural on special teams. Stay tuned to Newsline 9 for the latest on White, Abbrederis, and the rest of the Packers roster cuts.
