DEFOREST, Wis. (AP) -- Police say they've arrested two male students who were allegedly involved in threats that led to the closures of schools in the DeForest Area School District.

DeForest Police Chief Robert Henze said Friday the two boys had threatened to bring weapons or bombs to an unspecified school. He provided no information on how officials learned about the threats or who informed school officials and police.

The boys' names, ages and grades were not released. One was taken into custody Thursday, and another already has been charged and placed on electronic monitoring.

DeForest police and the Dane County Sheriff's Office are continuing to investigate whether anyone else was involved.

DeForest schools were closed for the day Friday and the rest of the weekend. Administrators expect that all schools will reopen Tuesday.
