TOWNSHIP OF WESTFORD, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities have released the name of a motorcyclist who died after colliding with a deer in southeastern Wisconsin.
The Dodge County Sheriff's Office identifies the victim as 52-year-old Joseph Doubek of Johnson Creek.
A preliminary investigation finds Doubek was driving a motorcycle south on Wisconsin 73 when a deer ran into the road and collided with the motorcycle.
Doubek was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to a Beaver Dam hospital and pronounced dead by the county medical examiner.
The crash was reported about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
