Packers fans - the NFL's fine-est


GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Going to an NFL game is expensive enough, but fans who misbehave better be ready to really open their wallets. A Gannett Wisconsin Media investigation ( ) found that fans who engaged in disruptive behavior at Packers home games were fined about $58,500 last season.
   Green Bay Municipal Court fines at five of the eight regular season home games last year exceeded $6,000.
   The worst was when the Bears came to Lambeau Field in November, resulting in more than $10,000 in fines.
   The numbers show 67 fans were arrested at Packers home games last year; 51 from outside the Green Bay area.
   Fines for unlawful conduct at a public event start at $880 and go up for additional infractions, such as resisting arrest.
