UPDATE: Two drug busts in less than a month at a Wausau house

WAUSAU (WAOW) – A Wausau house was the scene of a second drug bust in less than a month Friday.

Four people were arrested at the house on the 700 block of Bertha Street in Wausau.

One of those arrested was 34-year-old Shane Harder, who also was arrested in the first bust back in September.

Police say complaints from neighbors helped lead to a search warrant.

"Without the help of the citizens in this matter in particular it would be very difficult for us to continue to move forward, it really is a testament to their desire to have a peaceful neighborhood," said Lt. Todd Baeten from the Wausau Police Department.

"This can't continue, this must end," said Steven Pavlow who lives in the neighborhood.

Pavlow says the neighborhood used to be quiet and peaceful, until Harder moved in.  "It's been continuous, people coming and going, use of drugs, neighborhoods just not safe anymore, we're fed up with it," said Pavlow.

"This is an address that's been impacting this neighborhood for quite a long time," Said Lt. Baeten.

Families have begun to leave the neighborhood, the ones who have stayed want change.  "We just want to see it end, we want to see it move out, get some established people in here that are respectable," said Pavlow.

Police have not released the names of the other suspects arrested. The charges involve the possession and delivery of meth and prescription drugs.

The owner of the home has no comment at this time.
