Bail set at $250,000 for Kenosha County homicide suspect

KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) -- Bail has been set at $250,000 for a Kenosha County homicide suspect who eluded capture for nearly two weeks until his arrest in Illinois.
Sheriff's deputies caught up with Andrew Obregon on Tuesday in a wooded residential area of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, with the help of multiple police dogs.
Authorities say the 32-year-old Obregon is a suspect in last month's killing of 37-year-old Tywon Anderson and is wanted for several robberies and auto thefts. He's also suspected of beating a woman who found him in her father's vacant house in Kenosha County.
WISC-TV reports that Obergon appeared in court Thursday in Lake County, Illinois. He'll face extradition to Wisconsin Nov. 3.
Authorities say he faces charges in both states after leading deputies on a chase across the Wisconsin-Illinois border.
