"Back to the Future" Day

(WBAY) -- It's "Back to the Future" day.

In the second movie, Doc Brown and his apprentice Marty McFly traveled to this date in history, October 21, 2015.

While Hollywood was unable to correctly predict some aspects of the future, a Green Bay man is trying to make one come true.

"Someone was touring the gallery last week and walked through and he happened to be from Chicago and he mentioned, 'Do you remember the prediction the Cubs are going to win the World Series?'" said Doug Laviolett, the marketing director at the Automobile Gallery.

Set to be one of the dozens of antique cars on display at the soon-to-be-open Automobile Gallery in downtown Green Bay, Red Lewis decided to showcase his 1981 DeLorean.

That's the same car that was featured as a time traveling device in the 1985 blockbuster, "Back to the Future."

He says he displayed his car early to give the cubs a boost as they try to reach the World Series for the first time since 1908.

Unfortunately, it didn't help the Cubs Tuesday. They lost to the New York Mets 5-2 and are on the brink of elimination.
