BROOKFIELD, Wis. (AP) -- Police say two men were shot in an apparent dispute between neighbors in Brookfield.

WISN-TV reports that the shooting took place Sunday after three neighbors who were talking among one another got into a dispute with a fourth neighbor.

During the argument, the fourth neighbor went into his home, grabbed a handgun and then returned to open fire on the three other neighbors, injuring two of them.

“Junior has a reputation for being difficult with the neighbors?” WISN reporter Nick Bohr asked.

“Oh yeah, like I said, everybody who's lived in that house has had a problem with Junior,” said Kathy Boknevitz, the wife of a man shot at in that backyard.

Both victims were taken to a hospital with injuries that aren't believed to be life-threatening.

Officials say a 76-year-old man is expected to face three counts of attempted homicide in the shooting.
