Packers fan says he is getting death threats after Cam Newton ripped down his sign
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WKOW) --- A family in North Carolina is considering filing theft charges against Panthers' quarterback Cam Newton after the family says he ripped down their sign and destroyed it, according to WSOC.
Mike Dobs, who is from Wisconsin, says he paid $500 for the "North Carolina Cheesehead" sign and was shocked when Newton tore it out of their hands.
"We take pride in having an edge in playing in Bank of America Stadium, of playing in front of the Carolinas each and every week," Newton said. "I feel it's my due diligence to protect this house. It wasn't just about tearing down a sign. It was respect."
