UPDATE: Shooting victim goes to Sun Prairie school for help

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (AP) -

The Sun Prairie School District says the victim of a shooting showed up at an elementary school seeking help.

The 30-year-old man went to Bird Elementary about 8:30 a.m. Friday after he was shot at a home nearby. Police say the man's injuries are not life threatening.

While paramedics went to the school to treat the victim, police went to the home and arrested a 34-year-old woman. Three children in the home were not harmed.

Police say a suspect is in custody for a shooting at a home near an elementary school in Sun Prairie.

Officers responded to a house behind Bird Elementary School Friday morning. There's no immediate word on the victim's condition.

Authorities say the school was not locked down.
