RB James Starks' contract details

James Starks is returning to Green Bay to rejoin Eddie Lacy in the Packers' backfield.

Starks re-signed with the Packers after spending more than a week on the market as an unrestricted free agent. The NFL announced the transaction on Monday.

A person familiar with the move told The Associated Press that Starks agreed to a two-year, $6 million deal. The person requested anonymity because the team doesn't not announce the financial terms of contracts.

Starks had a career-best 601 yards on 148 carries last season, along with 43 catches for 392 yards.

The six-year veteran turned into more than just a complement to Lacy and his punishing rushing style. He picked up carries after Lacy struggled last season.

Green Bay drafted Starks in the sixth round out of Buffalo in the 2010 draft.
