PITTSBURGH (AP) -- A man who bilked people out of more than $1 million by falsely claiming he could help book a Pharrell concert for a South Korean steel company and targeted women in online dating scams has been sentenced in Pittsburgh to two years in prison.

Sigismond Segbefia also must pay nearly $1.2 million in restitution after Tuesday's sentencing. He is from Ghana and has agreed to be deported after prison.

He pleaded guilty in December to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. He acknowledged bilking Dosko Co. by pretending to promote a Pharrell Williams show.

The company was planning to expand into entertainment.

Segbefia was living in Silver Spring, Maryland, when he ran the scams from 2013 until his arrest last April in New York.
