MADISON, Wis. (AP) - U.S. Senate challenger Russ Feingold says he had $6.4 million on hand at the end of the first quarter.
Feingold's campaign released his fundraising numbers for the quarter on Friday. The campaign says Feingold raised $3.3 million and $10.8 million since he got into the race 11 months ago, with $6.41 million on hand.
Feingold, a Democrat, is looking to unseat Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson in November. Feingold served 18 years in the Senate before Johnson defeated him in 2010.
A Johnson campaign spokesman didn't immediately respond to an email Friday seeking Johnson's first-quarter fundraising numbers. A Johnson campaign memo The Associated Press obtained this week said he raised more than $2.1 million during the quarter.
