ANTIGO (WAOW) -- A shooting has been confirmed at Antigo High School during the school prom Saturday evening.
A person showed up with a rifle outside of the building and started shooting at about 11 p.m., according to Antigo Police Chief Eric Roller.
Two students from the prom were shot as they exited the building, Roller said. He says they have non-life threatening injuries.
Officers were in the parking lot patrolling the prom, heard the shots, and an officer immediately fired upon the shooter, stopping the threat, the Chief said.
All three people shot were taken to the hospital.
Langlade County Coroner, Larry Shadick says the shooter was pronounced dead at about 1 a.m. at a hospital in Wausau.
The Hospital Supervisor at Aspirus Langlade Hospital says one victim has been released, and the other victim was transferred to another hospital.
Everyone inside the prom was eventually escorted from the school.
According to the Police Chief, the victims' families have been notified, and he believes the scene is secure and does not see a further threat to the community.

Dry and cool for a few days then turning much warmer by the end of the week. A rather dry pattern as well.
