NEW DELHI (AP) -- Police in northern India say a teenager has died after accidentally shooting himself while posing for a selfie with a loaded handgun held to his head.

Police say 15-year-old Ramandeep Singh pulled the trigger while taking the picture with his smartphone.

Police say the teen died in a hospital late Sunday. The handgun belonged to his father.
