Padres homer twice in the 12th, top Brewers 8-7

The San Diego Padres beat the Brewers tonight at Miller Park, 8-7, in 12 innings.

The Brewers trailed 6-4 in the bottom of the eighth when Alex Presley hit a hard ground ball toward first base with the bases loaded. An errant throw to the bag allowed both Johnathan Lucroy and Domingo Santana score on the hit, knotting the game at 6.

In extra innings, Brewers pitcher Chris Capuano gave up back-to-back home runs in the top of the 12th, the first to Derek Norris and the second to Melvin Upton Jr. Lucroy would swat his fourth home run of the year in the bottom frame, a solo shot, but the Brewers could not manage another run.

Brewers move to 15-22 on the season. The Brewers wrap up their series with the Padres tomorrow afternoon at 1:10 p.m.
