HBO producer among 2 charged in dermatologist's OD death
NEW YORK (AP) -- The producer of an HBO series is among two men arrested in connection with the 2015 death of a New York dermatologist who died of cocaine and alcohol intoxication.
The Drug Enforcement Administration says Marc Henry Johnson and James Holder were arrested Wednesday on conspiracy charges in the October death of Dr. Kiersten Cerveny. They are due to appear in federal court later Wednesday.
Johnson was a producer on an HBO series called "The Deuce." He is also charged with attempted narcotics distribution and being an accessory after the fact.
Authorities say the 38-year-old doctor was snorting cocaine during drinks with Johnson. She was found unconscious in the lobby of Holder's apartment building.
It wasn't immediately clear if Johnson or Holder had attorneys who could comment on the allegations.
