Tree topples onto NJ police officer


RINGWOOD, NEW JERSEY (CNN)-- Dashcam video caught the moment a tree fell on a police officer.
The man is lucky his injuries weren't more severe.
It happened Friday morning on this stretch of road in Ringwood, New Jersey.
Officer Douglas Farber arrived to see a large branch blocking part of the road.
The 33-year-old officer got out of his car to move the branches.
That's when the rest of the tree came crashing down!
Part of the tree catches Farber as tries to get out of the way.
He had to be taken to the hospital.
The Ringwood police chief says Farber broke his wrist.
He also got 13 stitches on the top of his head.
He's now resting at home.
