Fargo police officer arrested for drunken driving resigns
FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- A police officer in Fargo accused of drunken driving in Minnesota has resigned.
Fargo Police Chief Dave Todd tells KFGO-AM that Wes Libner has turned in his resignation letter.
Libner was arrested shortly after 5 a.m. July 2 on Highway 10 near Hawley, Minnesota.
Minnesota's Clay County Sheriff's Office says Libner was stopped by a deputy after someone called authorities to report a vehicle "weaving" down the highway. The station reports Libner's blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit.
Libner was a school resource officer at Fargo South High School.
