Packers cruise into Camp on Dream Drive

The Green Bay Packers are officially back in action, the team gathering Tuesday morning in the not-so-Frozen Tundra for the first day of Training Camp.

But in order for the players to actually get to Ray Nitschke Field where they practice, they'd first have to take a cruise down Dream Drive.

The start of camp is chock full of traditions, but when it favorites, Dream Drive takes the cake.

Fans are a family affair when it comes to the Pack, and kids crowded the edge of the street for the chance for a pro to choose their bike for the ride.

"It takes a lot of dedicated and it takes a lot of luck." said Zach Johnson who was lucky enough to have Don Barclay choose his two-wheeler.

One little girl showed her stubborn side, waiting until the very end in hopes that Aaron Rodgers would choose her, but instead it was one of the other biggest stars on the team, Jordy Nelson who got in the saddle.

This tradition is a unique opportunity for fans to interact with some highly touted professional athletes, but the kids aren't the only ones enjoying Dream Drive.

Rookie linebacker Blake Martinez says of his first time on the avenue, "I actually had this little kid, Sawyer, he asked me on Twitter if I would be his bike partner and so it was awesome to see him today. He had a big sign on the front saying 'Big Blake #50' and it was really cool."

The tradition has grown over the years, and undoubtedly will continue to.
