No more talk about weight for Lacy or McCarthy

Members of the media ask questions -- it's what they do. More often than not, NFL players are happy to answer them; however, most of the questions Eddie Lacy has fielded over the past year have been about his weight. On the first day of training camp, his head coach made it clear, they've had enough of that.

"I'm just going to be frank here. I'm done talking about people's weight," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said firmly. "I've never put a guy's individual weight in the media. And in Eddie's particular case, I've talked enough about his weight."

While he and Lacy won't say how much the running back has lost, it's clear the running back is in better shape now than what he was last January, when McCarthy took exception to Lacy's sub par conditioning.

"You can either take it the right way or the wrong way," Lacy said. "I think I did a pretty good job of taking it positively and going to take care of what I had to."
