Packers QB Brett Hundley leaves preseason game with ankle injury

Posted:

Packers backup quarterback Brett Hundley re-injured his left ankle in Thursday night's preseason game against the Oakland Raiders.

After not playing in last week's preseason opener versus the Cleveland Browns due to a sprained left ankle, Hundley returned to the field in preseason game 2 against the Raiders. Hundley helped lead the Packers to six points on their opening drive, capped by a goal line score by running back Eddie Lacy. Hundley was five of seven for 67 yards passing before getting tackled low and from behind late in the game's second quarter. He would leave the game immediately afterward.

During the game's post-game press conference, coach Mike McCarthy stated that while his medical status is unclear at this time, the injury doesn't appear to be as serious as first thought.
