Nelson 'Probably' won't play in final Preseason Game
Packers wide receiver, Jordy Nelson, who suffered an ACL tear in last season's preseason, probably won't play in Thursday's preseason finale in Kansas City.
The Pro Bowler declared in the first week of camp that the first week of the regular season was the goal. That goal still remains.
Neither ahead nor behind schedule, Nelson has been working back from a hiccup with his left knee, the opposite of the one he had surgically repaired after being out all last season.
Nelson responded, "Probably not," to a three part question consisting of whether he thought he'd play Thursday, wanted to play Thursday, and whether he thought there'd be any benefit to playing Thursday.
Despite his simple answer, Nelson isn't happy having to miss over a year of playing time, "I think if everything would have gone smooth coming into camp, we would have been in a different situation, but its a situation that we're in and I think we've handled it well."
The receiver is confident that he will be ready for regular season game time.
