Officials say three people were burned when gasoline was thrown onto a burning fire pit in Germantown, causing an explosion.
The Germantown Fire Department says a 25-year-old woman suffered second- and third-degree burns over 40 percent of her body early Saturday.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the woman's burns involved respiratory areas.
She was flown to the Columbia St. Mary's Regional Burn Center.
Crews originally were dispatched to a McDonald's restaurant but learned the incident happened at a home.
The second victim was found at the McDonald's, also with burns over 40 percent of her body but not involving respiratory areas.
Paramedics took her to the burn center.
A third victim with burns to his chest and hands also was identified. His wife drove him to the burn center.
Cool and bright Wednesday. Light snow likely Thursday night. A storm may hit Saturday.
