UW-Stevens Point unable to comeback in Pink Game

The UW-Stevens Point Pointers hosted the UW-Platteville Pioneers at Goerke Park Saturday afternoon for a WIAC match-up and the annual Pink Game.

Despite a red-zone push late in the second quarter, Point fell to the Pioneers early in the first half 28-7.

After coming out of the locker room, the Pointers finally started to wake up.

Darin Ward scored from three yards out to cut the score in half, they added a field goal, and Ryan Swigart brought the score within four, 28-24.

But the Pointers' strong run would rise and fall in the third quarter. The Pioneers would score another twelve points to Point's seven as the Pioneers handed the Pointers their first loss of the season, 47-31.
