MILWAUKEE (WISN) -

One of the women arrested in connection with the Tuesday death of a 7-year-boy served 18 months in prison for her involvement in the 2003 death of another boy, court records show.

Our Milwaukee affiliate WISN-TV is not naming the 44-year-old woman because she has not been charged in the most recent case.

The boy who died Tuesday had "numerous injuries" when he arrived at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin from a home near South 19th Street and West National Avenue, officials said.

The boy died a few hours later, police said.

In addition to the 44-year-old woman, a 47-year-old woman and two males have been arrested in the case, which is being investigated as a homicide.

The 2003 case involved the homicide of a 1-year-old boy. After an autopsy, a medical examiner reported the boy had deep bruising and a broken arm which was left untreated to develop gangrene.

The woman and two others were charged with abusing the baby. She pleaded guilty to child neglect and was sentenced to prison time and four years of extended supervision.
