UPDATE: 1 hurt in Marathon Co. bus crash

One man was hurt after a bus did not yield the the right of way on State Highway 29 Wednesday morning, according to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies said they were called to State Highway 29 and Bass Lake Road in the Town of Norrie around 7:15 a.m. after a bus and SUV crashed. 

The bus failed to yield the right of way to an eastbound SUV which deputies said was the cause of the crash.

The SUV driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, the sheriff's department said. The bus driver and seven students on the bus were not hurt.

No additional information has been released at this time.

Authorities responded to a call about a truck and school bus on Wednesday morning, according to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department.

It happened around 7 a.m. in Hatley on Highway 29 State Road and Bass Lake Road. 

According to officials, the bus did have students on it but none of them were hurt. The kids were later picked up by another bus.

The driver of the truck was transported to the hospitals with minor injuries.
