Vandalism spree in Marshfield damages a business, cars

A vandalism spree in Marshfield Tuesday night into Wednesday morning damaged roughly 10 cars and a business.

"We had a witness say they heard some pops and saw a vehicle speed off around 3 a.m.," said Marshfield Police Chief Rick Gramza. "In total it could be in excess of $10,000 in damages in a night of making poor choices."

Police believe a BB or pellet gun were used in the vandalism spree that damaged windows and glass doors. Northside Computers in Marshfield had both of their front doors shattered and had holes in a window.

"It's aggravating," said Cody Streey, partner at Northside Computers. "Luckily no one broke in."

Nothing was stolen from the cars or the business, however the damage was frustrating.

"We've had people try and break in before, our security system took care of that, never had anyone vandalize our stuff," said Streey. "It's really unfortunate."

Right now, police don't have any suspects. They're looking into surveillance video from across the street of the business.

If you have any information, you're being asked to contact the Marshfield Police Department or Wood County Crimestoppers.
