A "hoppy" northwoods company celebrates its grand opening

The Rhinelander Brewery and Tour Centre has been in the works since 2009.

The original Rhinelander Brewery closed over 50 years ago. It ran from 1882 to 1967.
Friday evening hundreds of people gathered and sampled the taphouse selection.
After 9 years of hard work, President & CEO of Rhinelander Brewing Co. Jyoti Auluck says she's enjoying the moment.

"It is fun. This is amazing. This is like watching your baby go off to college," said Auluck "It's everything you've envisioned, everything you've talked about, every back and forth. It's in place now, so it's very exciting."

The CEO added that because the brewery is a smaller operation, staff is able to "play" with flavor profiles and seasonal beers. They've already produced four Hodag Ales.

"To me it's not work at all. To me it's fun," said Head Brewer Al Ewan.
