Greenheck honored again as good workplace for young professionals

SCHOFIELD (WAOW) - For the fourth year in a row, Greenheck has been named one of the 10 best places in Wisconsin for young professionals to work.

The air-movement equipment manufacturer received the 2018 Bubbler Award during a ceremony at the plant Monday.

Among the other winners were Forward Bank in Marshfield and Skyward Inc. in Stevens Point.

The award - given by NEWaukee and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to showcase companies making great strides to accommodate the interests of a shifting workforce - comes as Greenheck said its $19 million expansion to add 112,000 square feet of space to several facilities in Schofield and Mosinee was nearing completion.

Winners of the award are companies that feature what young professionals look for in today’s workplace, including competitive salary and benefits, opportunity for advancement and employee and community engagement.

Others winning Bubbler Awards were Eppstein Uhen Architects of Milwaukee, GMR Marketing of Brookfield, Johnsonville of Sheboygan Falls, Northwestern Mutual of Milwaukee, Penrod of Milwaukee, Sargento Foods Inc. of Plymouth and Wisnet of Fond du Lac.

Greenheck, founded in 1947 by two brothers, employs about 3,300 workers in Schofield, Mosinee, California, Kentucky, Tennessee, Minnesota, North Carolina, Mexico and India, according to the company.
