WAUSAU (WAOW) - If you are doing a home improvement project or have contractors remodeling your home, Marathon County Crime Stopper warns you to be on the lookout for burglars looking for tools.
Thieves have broken into two homes in Wausau where work was being done since the end of April and stole thousands of dollars worth of tools and equipment, investigators said.
During the weekend of April 28, thieves targeted a construction site at 1118 N. 9th Ave. and stole these tools:
-Graco High Boy paint sprayer, $2,000.
-24 oz. Stiloetto hammer, $200.
-40-piece Makita drill bit set, $30.
-22 oz. Stanley waffle hammer, $20.
Then the next weekend, someone broke into a home at 1222 Prospect Ave. and stole these tools:
-12-inch Bosch chop saw with stand, $900.
-Bosch saw, $150.
-Bosch nail gun, $100.
-19-inch Craftsman table saw (no price).
-Drywall lift, $300.
-Milwaukee Skill saw, $75.
-Campbell Hausfeld nail gun, $90
-Bathroom sink and counter, $50.
-Paint ladder, $75.
