MADISON (WAOW) - Another 147 schools were awarded $10.2 million Thursday for building safety improvements through a state program designed to keep students from being hurt and "safe from violent attacks," Attorney General Brad Schimel said.

"No one should feel unsafe in a school," Schimel said in a statement.

The newest grants ranged from several thousands dollars - $8,503 to Saint Joseph School - to nearly a $1 million - $835,092 to the Green Bay Area Public School District.

-Mellen School District, $21,139.

-Merrill Area School District, $108,753.

-Neillsville School District, $44,080.
