Some Wausau leaders, residents opposed to Foxconn

Nearly a dozen people gathered outside of Lincoln Elementary School to speak out against the Foxconn project Thursday, the same day President Donald Trump was in Wisconsin for the groundbreaking of Foxconn.

Those outside the school said education and infrastructure are two things central Wisconsin needs more funding for but instead they said the money is going to Foxconn.

"They can find all kinds of money for this, with no guarantees and when you look at what it's going to cost the taxpayers down the road, it's enormous," Nancy Stencil, candidate for the 86th Assembly said.

County Materials in Marathon and Merrill Steel in Schofield are two central Wisconsin companies, that we know of are part of the building of Foxconn.
